A psychiatrist who served as medical director of San Joaquin County's behavioral health program won a $1.7 million jury verdict in a whistleblower retaliation case, according to a news release from his attorney.

Lawrance A. Bohm of Bohm Law Group said a jury in Stockton found in favor of Dr. Khurram Durrani on Monday. Durrani worked for the county's Department of Behavioral Health Services for nearly 12 years, including six as medical director. The county fired him in 2019...
