A federal judge in the Central District of California has blocked the extradition of former U.S. Marine Christopher Ahn to Spain on humanitarian grounds, in what appears to be the first U.S. court-ordered denial on that basis, criticizing the government's use of Google Translate, its handling of threats to Ahn's life, and North Korea's influence after he helped arrange the defection of Kim Jong Un's nephew.
