Settlement reached in L.A. County bribery whistleblower case

Qui tam suit alleged multimillion-dollar kickback scheme with real estate developers. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

A qui tam relator who accused her husband -- then a Los Angeles County official -- of orchestrating a multimillion-dollar bribery and kickback scheme with real estate developers Arman and Mark Gabaee reached a settlement with the defendants ahead of a federal trial that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
