OC Superior Court launches e-filing portal for criminal defense attorneys
The electronic filing portal will allow attorneys to submit motions, petitions and responses online rather than in person. Presiding Judge Sheila F. Hanson said the system is intended to improve access and efficiency as courts contend with staffing shortages and budget constraints.
On May 22, the Orange County Superior Court will launch an electronic filing program for criminal defense attorneys, allowing electronic submission of motions, petitions and responses that previously required in-person filing at clerk's offices.
