Remedies phase in OpenAI charitable trust trial begins Monday

Juries will begin deliberating liability on Monday, as well. U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers ruled that the proceedings would be bifurcated into a liability phase and a remedies phase.

The attorneys in Elon Musk's lawsuit against OpenAI for breach of charitable trust presented their closing arguments Thursday, but they'll be back in U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers' Oakland courtroom Monday morning to present the remedies portion of the trial.

The judge will hear the remedies phase outside the view of the jury, which begins deliberations Monday as well, following three weeks of trial.
