A San Diego County judge struck Huntington Beach's latest challenge to California's Housing Element Law, ruling the city's CEQA claims lacked merit and improperly targeted the state's protected enforcement lawsuit.

San Diego County Superior Court Judge Katherine A. Bacal has ruled that Huntington Beach cannot use a cross-petition challenging California's Housing Element Law to attack the state's enforcement lawsuit, granting Attorney General Rob Bonta's special motion to strike under California's anti-SLAPP statute and eliminating the city's remaining claims.
