Anthropic beat Trump in court. Can it price him into an IPO?

A federal judge's ruling against the Trump administration clears a hurdle for Anthropic's blockbuster IPO, but legal experts say the litigation risk -- and Washington's broader hostility -- could still weigh on its valuation.

Anthropic PBC cleared a major obstacle on the road to its planned IPO last week. The harder question is whether investors can put a price on the one that remains: the Trump administration.

U.S. District Judge Rita F. Lin of San Francisco ruled that the administration violated Anthropic's constitutional rights by designating the AI company a national security supply chain risk over its refusal to allow its models to be used for lethal autonomous weapons or mass surveillance.
