3 charged in alleged Los Angeles ballot petition fraud scheme

Federal prosecutors say the defendants paid people on Skid Row to use stolen voter identities to forge signatures on California ballot initiative petitions.

Federal prosecutors have charged three people with using stolen identities of registered California voters to fraudulently collect signatures for state ballot initiatives, including allegedly paying people on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles to forge signatures.
