Edison says it has offered $1B to Eaton Fire claimants

Nearly 80% of the offers have been accepted, according to the utility, while about 2% have been declined.

Southern California Edison has offered more than $1 billion in compensation to nearly 7,200 Eaton Fire claimants through its out-of-court recovery program, the utility announced Thursday.

Nearly 80% of the offers have been accepted, according to the utility, with more than 3,850 claimants receiving more than $535 million so far. Only about 2% of offers have been declined.
