Google wins dismissal of customer service call privacy claims

A federal judge dismissed three plaintiffs' claims that Google unlawfully recorded customer service calls through its AI-powered contact center technology and ordered three others to arbitration. The dismissed plaintiffs were given leave to amend.

Google won dismissal of a privacy class action Thursday alleging that its AI-powered contact center technology unlawfully recorded customer service calls and used the conversations to train artificial intelligence models.
