Few Attorneys Fly First Class

In the first quarter of 2010, law firms spent an average of $738 per airline ticket and $246 per hotel room, according to The Lawyers' Travel Service, which tracks data from more than 200 firms. Attorneys appear to be mindful of keeping travel expenses in check, with only 7.2 percent scoring a first-class ticket, in contrast to 25.4 percent of financial services industry travelers. The vast majority of attorneys (88 percent) flew economy, compared with just 63.3 percent of bankers.
