The Department of Homeland Security ranks the groups presenting the greatest threat to domestic safety.

A Department of Homeland Security survey shows a subtle shift in the threats to domestic safety that state and local law enforcement officers perceive as most pressing. Here's a comparison of the top five threats they saw in 201314 versus seven years earlier.

The National Consortium for the study of Terrorism and the Response to Terrorism compiled 364 responses to a survey of state, local, and tribal law enforcement officers who had participated in two major DHS counterterrorism training programs.
