More than 260 people attended, including Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia and keynote speaker California Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye. She discussed the need for equal access to justice and the work of the judiciary.

The bar association’s co-presidents, David Haberbush and Pamela A. Swindells, presented Vern D. Schooley of Fulwider Patton LLP, the centennial chair, with an award honoring his contribution to the association.
