Litigation boutique firm Andrade Gonzalez LLP celebrated its five-year anniversary on Oct. 4 with a party at its offices on Spring Street in downtown.

"It feels great," said Sean A. Andrade, managing partner and co-founder. "We've grown pretty steadily and we have an amazing team."

Ana Guerrero, chief of staff to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, attended and delivered a proclamation on behalf of the city for the firm's work.

Unexpectedly, members from the Hollenbeck Youth Center in Boyle Heights surprised the firm by presenting an award. Andrade said the firm has been involved with the youth center for the last few years, including sponsoring a boxing day for the children who participate and need to pay for licenses to box and equipment. This year, Andrade said the center needed a new boxing ring, so they chipped in and bought a new one.

"Oscar De La Hoya started boxing there," Andrade added.
