COVID and the Courts

What will the courts look like in a post-pandemic world? In this webinar, two judges and two court executive officers ruminate on the possibilities.

This webinar, featuring two Judges with administrative responsibility and two Court Executives, will focus on what the courts will look like in a post-pandemic world. Among the questions to be tackled:

1) Where are we now? The panelists will discuss what is currently being done virtually, on both the state and federal level.

2) Where do we need to go? The panelists will discuss the norms and ethical considerations, most notably the concern for procedural fairness, that drives their thinking about how court operations should look in the future.

3) Where will we be? The panelists will discuss what court operations will look like in a post-COVID world, including which necessary innovations are here to stay, and which will be discarded, with a specific emphasis on technological emphasis.
