Patrick M. Kelly is one of the pre-eminent trial lawyers, litigators, law firm leaders and professional association leaders in the country. He has vast experience in numerous substantive areas that he brings to bear in efficiently, effectively and economically resolving matters as a mediator, arbitrator or referee. During his lengthy career, Mr. Kelly has tried, litigated, arbitrated, mediated and/or settled thousands of cases involving numerous areas of law including the following: employment, personal injury, professional liability, class action and complex litigation, commercial litigation, directors and officers liability, premises liability, insurance and bad faith litigation.
For almost 35 years he was a member of the Executive Committee and the Western Region Managing Partner and Director of Litigation for the international law firm Wilson, Elser Moskowitz Edelman and Dicker. He is a frequent author and lecturer and notably is an original co-author of "Insurance Litigation, The Rutter California Litigation Guide". Mr Kelly is a former President of the California State Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. and was president of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. He has also been president of numerous organizations including Dispute Resolution Services and the Coalition for Justice. He is a voting member of the California Judicial Council, has been elected to membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been honored as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has received numerous awards and offices for his leadership in the legal and professional community. He is a graduate of the Strauss Institute "Mediating the Litigated Case" program and is committed to bringing his extensive experience to bear on the cost-effective and fair resolution of disputes.
