ALTERNATIVE RESOLUTION CENTERS

ORANGE COUNTY/LOS ANGELES

Employment matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, class actions, and PAGA; business disputes, including breach of contract and torts; civil litigation; complex cases; antitrust; space law; and class actions.

Alyson Decker has well over fourteen years of trial, litigation and mediation experience, both in private practice at Am Law 100 and nationally-renowned boutique law firms and in-house, as the former Vice President of Legal Affairs in charge of litigation and compliance for a group of HR and staffing companies with an annual revenue of over 100 million dollars.

Over the course of her career as an advocate, Ms. Decker has handled hundreds of disputes involving employment, wage and hour, PAGA, class actions, entertainment, antitrust, business, contract, real estate, complex, trademark, trade secret, high-profile celebrity cases, and appellate. She has appeared in state and federal court throughout California, including before the Ninth Circuit, and has a good feel for the verdicts currently being issued by local judges and juries.

Ms. Decker uses her background on both the plaintiff and defense sides, and even as a client representative from her years as an in-house counsel, her mediation training with the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Center for Civic Mediation, as well as her experience as a mediator to work with counsel and their clients to reach a joint resolution of their disputes. Ms. Decker tempers her no-holds-barred honest assessment of a party's claims and defenses with a compassionate touch, because every dispute becomes personal to the parties involved in it. And it works.

Ms. Decker is also an adjunct law professor and has taught Evidence and Research, Writing & Advocacy for several years. She also regularly speaks at MCLE events, entrepreneur focused workshops, and international conventions on employment, corporate, and space law issues.
