Two-week shutdown at Compton Courthouse caused by flooding from burst pipe.

Compton Courthouse to tentatively reopen Jan. 16

The Compton Courthouse will remain closed at least through Jan. 12 due to flooding from a burst pipe over New Year’s weekend that rendered significant portions of the building inoperable, Los Angeles County Superior Court officials announced on Friday. It will tentatively reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 16.

Matters calendared in the Compton Courthouse through this Friday have been temporarily reassigned to other locations, according to a court statement. Case status is available through the court’s website or by phone.
