Shasta County debuts new court

The Shasta County Superior Court began moving into the new Redding Courthouse on Monday, Feb. 12. The six-story, 14-courtroom building will allow the county to consolidate courts under one roof.

Divisions of the court have previously been housed in different buildings. Two additional courtrooms in the new courthouse will allow for future new judgeships.

The new courthouse is in downtown Redding across the street from the former Main Courthouse/Courthouse Annex.
