The Daily Journal honored the inaugural recipients of its Distinguished Counsel award at a dinner event at Spago in Beverly Hills Thursday evening.
Honorees heard speeches from Michael O'Key and Zarina Sementelli, two recipients of the 2025 Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company Essay Scholarship, presented in partnership with the Daily Journal.
The event was sponsored by BMO Wealth Management, ADR Services Inc. and USA Express Inc.
Distinguished Counsel is a new designation introduced as part of 2025's Top 100 list, honoring attorneys who have been featured on the list 15 times or more since it started published.
These attorneys have demonstrated, year after year, that they are operating at the very highest level of California's legal profession. Stay tuned for the full list of Distinguished Counsel and the 2025 Top 100 list, publishing Sept. 17.
