LOS ANGELES - Does a litigant need two different lawyers - one for trial and one for the appeal?

According to 2nd District Court of Appeal Justice Richard D. Aldrich, it can certainly help. And Aldrich would know - not only has he listened to attorneys of both kinds argue before the 2nd District, Division 3, for almost 20 years now, but as a trial lawyer Aldrich did some of his own appeals.
