LONG BEACH - Judge Charles Sheldon sighed as he walked into his chambers after an especially trying afternoon.
"I had my most difficult witness on the stand today," Sheldon said, grimacing.
For two hours, he struggled to keep the witness, a victim in an assault and attempted murder case, focused on questions posed by counsel.
