SACRAMENTO - Superior Court Judge David W. Abbott focuses on civil litigation. But he got his start in law far from civil matters in a decidedly noncivilian environment, working as a judge advocate in the Marine Corps toward the end of the Vietnam War.
The Corps at the time was looking to recruit Marines with legal training to work within the military justice system.
