LOS ANGELES - Soft-spoken and diminutive, Judge Patti Jo McKay might be one of the most unassuming jurists you'll ever meet.
Naturally congenial, the presiding judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court's appellate division said she's the type to strike up a conversation with just about anyone, be it in line at the grocery store or while walking the halls of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
