LOS ANGELES - Sentencing is still the hardest part of the job for U.S. District Judge Terry J. Hatter, Jr., even after 38 years on the federal and state benches.

"Sentencing hasn't gotten any easier for me ... And if it does stop being the most difficult then I think I'll stop," said Hatter, who has continued working full time and receiving new cases on the Central District bench since taking senior status ... (continued)
