Terry Adamson lives close enough to the Malibu Courthouse that she could ride her horse to work. She hasn't tried that yet, she said, but it's nice to know she could.
Adamson, 44, has been a Superior Court commissioner since 1989 and would be happy to spend the rest of her career in Malibu.
"I have no desire to be elevated to judge," she said. "I'm very happy doing what I'm doing."
