When longtime litigator Clifton W. Albright graduated in 1977 from California State University Long Beach, he really wanted to be a businessman.

“Most of the executives I aspired to be like all had law degrees,” Albright recalled. “So When I went to law school, my goal wasn’t to become a lawyer. It was to get the credentials, so I could move up the corporate ladder.”
