Musk tweeted insult not injurious, jury rapidly decides

The schoolyard insult-like nature of Musk’s “pedo guy” tweet and the lack of any actual harm realized by plaintiff Vernon Unsworth were central planks of Musk’s defense throughout trial last week.

Sticks and stones may break bones. But Elon Musk's tweets don't, a federal jury ruled Friday.

"My faith in humanity is restored," the Tesla CEO announced as he exited the courtroom of U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson, moments after the jury's unanimous vindication of his First Amendment right to Twitter trolling.
