US judge enjoins mandatory arbitration ban AB 51

Judge Kimberly Mueller upheld Friday the temporary restraining order she granted on Dec. 30, two days before the law took effect.

Chief U.S. District Judge Kimberly J. Mueller of Sacramento on Friday granted a preliminary injunction against AB 51, the law Gov. Gavin Newsom signed last year prohibiting employers from making mandatory arbitration agreements a precondition of employment, court records show.
