US judge denies most of Aerojet’s insurance claims for rocket explosions
But the judge allowed the rocket engine manufacturer to continue with allegations the insurer violated the Unfair Competition Law.
Even rocket scientists ultimately answer to insurance underwriters.
Such is the case with the legal fallout from a pair of 2014 rocket engine explosions. Aerojet Rocketdyne Inc. sued insurer Global Aerospace Inc. after it declined to cover the costs of a settlement stemming from those disasters.
