A State Bar ethics committee held a public hearing on Tuesday to receive input on a proposal that would ban an elected prosecutor or a candidate for office from seeking or accepting political or financial assistance from law enforcement unions.
The proposal, signed by three of California's 58 district attorneys, received support and resistance during the meeting, held via Zoom.
