Another insurer win in business interruption suit filed by LA restaurant

Of the six judges to rule on a motion to dismiss a business interruption insurance suit connected to the pandemic, U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson of Los Angeles is the fifth to side with the insurance industry.

In yet another business interruption lawsuit win for insurers, The Travelers Indemnity Co. of Connecticut does not need to cover a Los Angeles restaurant's claims stemming from government-ordered shutdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a federal judge ruled.
