Jury summons to start in US Central District’s Orange County courthouse

The district court stressed that, unlike its eastern and western divisions, the southern division comprises just one county where new infections of the coronavirus are declining and the Santa Ana courthouse is better equipped to follow mitigation protocols.

A day after the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals heard arguments about why the Central District of California has not resumed operations, the trial court announced it would begin calling jurors to its Santa Ana division on Monday.
